License, Warranty & Refunds

Effective: July 18, 2026

This page is the agreement between you and the maker of Localhost Explorer (“the app”) when you buy or use the app. Plain language on purpose. The free, open-source le CLI is covered separately by its MIT license, not by this page.

1. Your License

When you buy Localhost Explorer, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control. One purchase is meant for one person; if you are buying for a team, buy one license per person or contact us for a team arrangement.

You own your license and your data; you do not own the app itself. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the app or your license key, or present the app as your own product.

2. What You May Not Do

Except where this restriction is prohibited by law, you agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app in order to clone it or strip its licensing, and not to share your license key publicly. Ordinary personal use — including inspecting your own machine — is exactly what the app is for and is always allowed.

3. Updates

Your purchase includes updates to the app at the same major version, delivered securely in-app via Sparkle over HTTPS and cryptographically signed. You can turn automatic update checks off in the app; the app never uploads your data to check for updates.

4. Disclaimer of Warranty

The app is provided “AS IS” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the app at your own risk.

Localhost Explorer can stop processes and run system commands you choose to run. Those actions can end programs and discard unsaved work. Confirmation prompts are on by default, but you are responsible for what you choose to stop or run. Save your work before stopping a process.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maker of Localhost Explorer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the app. In any case, total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you actually paid for it.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you — see the next section.

6. Refunds

If the app doesn’t work for you, email within 14 days of purchase for a full refund — no interrogation. Reach us at hi@alik.asia or via Support.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have statutory rights to a refund for faulty digital goods that this policy does not take away. Our 14-day policy is offered in addition to those rights, not instead of them.

7. Contact
